Overall the visuals in this show gives it a serious and realistic tone, time will tell whether it clashes with the story or not. Animation is by no means top-notch, but in general actions are quite fluid when they count with shortcuts taken when necessary.

I particularly like the large contrast between the mundanely bright outdoor scenes and the stale and dim indoor scenes, it really helps to convey the sunny yet stagnant summer setting. Faces and skin tones have a natural human texture, and moment animations are often frenetic but not overexpressed.
